Hey Jackpot Candles Fam!
Hi everyone! Thanks for joining me today - you've made it to Two Scents! It's my weekly, Jackpot Candles vlog where we talk about candles, bath bombs, self-care, relaxation, and feeling good! I'm Jade - if it's your first time joining us, it's very nice to meet you :)
Today is my final installment of the "how to reuse your candle jars" series! If you missed week two (2), you can check that out here... But I recommend starting out at the beginning, week one (1), which can be found here!
In parts one and two, we talked about how to remove the wax from your candle jars, how to clean the sticker residue off of your jar, and a little bit about what your jar can be used for... Now, for the fun part. Let's do some crafts!
My candle jar craft:
Clean the Jar:Sticky residue isn't any fun! Take equal parts oil (I used canola oil) and baking soda and make a paste. Rub it on the sticker residue and let it sit for about 20 minutes. It should rub right off!
Twine:I wrapped both of my jars in a bit of string/twine (I did one from our Blind Date candle, and one from a previous monthly club, Feeling Lucky). I secured both ends down with a bit of school glue (nothing fancy). Now we're ready for the next step...
Spray Paint:wrap your hand in a plastic bag to protect your skin. Spray a nice even coat onto the jar (I used a cardboard box to protect my garage from any excess spray). Let the first coat dry and then do a second even coat for good measure! I used a dark green color for my Blind Date jar and a hammered copper finish over a metallic gold for the Feeling Lucky jar. They look amazing!
Pro Tip:before you start painting... Put your hair back! Nobody wants spray painted hair. Wear a mask to protect your lungs too!
Finally:
Decorate:Find a lovely spot in your home to set up your new DIY jars! Tune into my video (2:54) to see what I came up with!

Have you all heard of our Misfit candles? Here at Jackpot Candles, we like to embrace life's little imperfections! Our candles are hand poured with our own custom blend of soy wax... And although our candle artisans are some of the most wonderful, hard working employees around, not every pour can be perfect... It's just the truth! Instead of throwing these little beauties out, we decided to put them up on our website at an amazing price! If you haven't noticed, we have both double wick AND wooden wick candles on our site - we know that in the candle world, people have preferences for both. Just like our mystery candles, you never know just what misfit you're going to get. Give one of these cute little guys a good home - we promise they smell just as amazing as their full-price peers! If a mystery isn't quite your thing, don't forget we have a brand new, limited-edition monthly club piece right now. We're calling it Sea Glass - a super, clean, summery, ocean air scent with a High Tide bath bomb to go with it. They come with a beautiful blue pendant and a surprise ring, too!
Finally, just like last week, I would LOVE to see what y'all do with your candle jars. Spray paint, twine, stickers, plants... Anything! Send us pictures of how you reused your Jackpot Candles jars. You could also send us pictures of the rings that came out of those jars, or you enjoying your candles right off the bat! Don't forget, bath bombs make amazingly colorful tubs, and the fizzing action bubbling away in your tub makes us super happy to see. You can always snap a pic or a quick vid of you enjoying your Jackpot Candles products - we'll probably even feature you on our social media!
