Hey Candle lovers! It’s Jade! Your candle-girl, your master of zen and social media diva! This week on Jade’s Two Scents I am catching you up on my candle business trip! 

I went to the National Candle Association convention in Birmingham, Alabama on the hunt to scope out the best stuff for YOU- our amazing customers! The convention is a beautiful mix of wicks, wax, jars, scents, and labels!! I got to peruse all of these and meet so many wonderful people in the biz! 

I just wanted to give you a quick recap of what went down in Alabama! After I arrived at the airport I got settled in our nice hotel and then for the evening you were able to adventure around Birmingham with my CEO Chris! It's a really fun city with lots of charming places to visit! 

Then all day Wednesday was convention day! We got to look at all of the beautiful tables and talk to so many different people in the candle business I learned a couple cool things about wax and got a sniff a whole bunch of new scents and definitely found some favorites! Some that I hope I can use for future candles with Jackpot! Then I brought my whole setup and was able to go live for a whole hour at my usual time 6 PM Eastern standard time. Every single Wednesday! I still haven't missed one! But the best part was while I was going live and giving away a bunch of candles and stuff, I had a special Guest the bagpiper! Apparently, at the Hotel we stayed at he would walk the grounds at dusk every night and play the bagpipes and Lucky me he was playing right outside of my hotel room so I opened up my door to the balcony and everyone on the live could hear him play it was some great background music!

Although I've heard this convention wasn't as big as usual due to all that's happened these past couple of years. It was still amazing!!

I then veered off to South Carolina to visit my friend for the weekend and I got the coolest new addition, my candle (Tattoo)! I am so excited with how it turned out, it is so dainty and beautiful. It's a fun reminder how much I love candles and I love my job but also a reminder to let my light shine! Cheesy I know but I like it!!
